What color analysis is
Color analysis tells you which colors suit your skin, hair and eyes. It sorts people into four seasonal types – spring, summer, autumn and winter – and their subtypes. The right colors make your face look rested; the wrong ones emphasize fatigue. In Drape, the analysis is done by AI from a single photo.

Frequently asked questions
- Is color analysis reliable?
- Color analysis is based on the tones of your skin, hair and eyes, which are measurable features. Drape's AI is trained on analyses made by stylists, and professionals review the results.
- Can you be between two seasons?
- Yes. Many fall on the border of two types, for example between soft summer and soft autumn. Drape tells you your closest type and its neighbors.
- Does dyeing your hair affect the result?
- The analysis is based on your skin tone and eyes, which don't change with dye. Hair color affects which shades flatter your face right now.
- Does color analysis change with age?
- Your base type usually stays the same. Greying hair can soften contrast, so it's worth rechecking your palette every few years.
- How much does color analysis cost?
- In Drape, the AI color analysis is free. A stylist's in-person personal analysis in Finland usually costs 150–200 euros.
